Jose Bustillos
With 7 years of tattooing under his belt, Jose has made a name for himself by blending traditional techniques with modern artistic influences. His journey into the world of tattoos started with attending conventions alongside friends, where the art form’s rich history and the skill of the artists inspired him to dive deeper. From there, he sought out an apprenticeship, and the rest is history.
Jose's passion lies in Japanese-inspired tattoos, whether it’s traditional or more neo-illustrative. The bold imagery and deep symbolism of Japanese tattoos have always fascinated him, but he also enjoys merging this style with Chicano black and grey for a unique twist.
While his expertise spans across various tattoo styles—American traditional, black and grey, and beyond—his true love lies in tattoos that tell a story and showcase the strength of the imagery. He believes tattoos are powerful tools for self-discovery and expression, and that’s something he wishes everyone understood.
Outside of tattooing, Jose is constantly immersed in the tattoo world, whether he’s reading tattoo books, watching documentaries, or drawing new designs. When he's not working, you’ll likely find him chilling with his dog and binging One Piece.
